CELEBRATING THE GREAT AMERICAN HOLIDAY – HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!

We have all seen in movies and series that famous picture of family gathered around a table laden with delicious food charing a huge turkey. In Spain, we are still far from reaching this level of celebration, however, more and more restaurants and hotels in Madrid are offering the exprience of Thanksgiving.  And so lets live “the Spanish” the anniversary of Thanksgiving!

 

Any self-respecting party got food supplement as required. This could not be less, although Thanksgiving meal is not just a passenger, but the main attraction. The main course, of course, is roast turkey, traditionally stuffed with bread, nuts and sage.
Essential accompanying sauces and cranberry juice itself of the roast. All kinds of vegetables, mashed potatoes, green beans, candied sweet potatoes, glazed carrots, corn cobs and a variety of sweet and savory breads are a complement to this great feast.
The desserts are not far behind, highlighting pumpkin pies, apple or carrot.
